SILIGURI COLLEGE NSS UNIT’S WINTER SPECIAL CAMP STARTS

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 14th January, 2016: NSS Unit IV of Siliguri College, began its Winter Special Camp today by inaugurating a Thalassemia Counseling and Detection camp with the Students of Siliguri Girls High School. A total of 204 blood samples were collected in the camp. The main motive of the NSS Unit IV’s was to make the school Thalassemia free. The Counselor Dr. Maitrayee Sen, from North Bengal Medical College, informed that this is the first time in Siliguri that this sort of camp is organized and she also expressed her thanks to Dr. Vidyawati Agarwala, the Programme Officer of NSS Unit for taking this initiative. Shortly, the NSS unit is also going to organize an Eye check up camp in the Old Aged home called Apna Ghar and a ‘Shrama Dan’ program will also be organized at Simulguri Village.
